Dr. Andrei Vasilian graduated with honours from the University of Toronto with the B.Sc. in Cell and Molecular Biology in 1996. He obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2000 from the University of Toronto. Following that, Dr. Vasilian did a one year post-doctoral residency training (Advanced Education in General Dentistry) at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio. Here, Dr. Vasilian obtained his training in conscious I.V. sedation and placed his first dental implants. As well, the residency program sparked his current interests in orthodontics, children's dentistry and full mouth rehabilitation cases. Back in Ontario in 2001, Dr. Vasilian associated at different periods in Uxbridge, Mississauga and downtown Toronto. He has practiced general dentistry while at the same time pursuing advanced continuing education in implantology, conscious I.V. sedation, functional orthodontics and TMD treatments.

In his spare time Dr. Vasilian travels, is an avid skier and plays basketball. He is also interested in art history, and follows international politics and economics. He speaks English and Romanian.

Dr. Nicolas Naurato received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with honours at the University of Toronto in 2000. He practiced as an associate dentist in the GTA for the following year. He went on to complete a 1-year residency program in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the University of Mississippi. He stayed in the residency for a second year as a dental research fellow and then returned to the GTA to work again in private practice.

Dr. Naurato continued his postgraduate education at the University of Rochester to obtain his specialty certificate in periodontology. He is a member in good standing with both the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario and the Mississippi State Board of Dental Examiners. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada in Periodontics and a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.

Dr. Naurato is a certified specialist in periodontics. In addition to working in private practice, he also enjoys being a clinical instructor of periodontology at the University of Toronto.

Shiela has been in the dental field since she moved to Canada in 2002. She graduated with a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering at the University of Assumption in the Philippines but found a natural fit with a second career in dentistry. As someone who is always ready to learn new things and possessing strong problem-solving skills, Shiela will clarify any issues related to your insurance claims. And she will always greet you in person or on the phone with a positive attitude no matter how busy her day is! At Avalon Dentistry she has performed multiple tasks and is responsible for all aspects of our office administration.

As Amber became interested in a career in the dental field at a very young age, she started working as a chair side assistant in an Orthodontics practice. However, her eagerness to diversify her knowledge led her at Avalon to gain experience as an office administrator. Her long term goal is to become an office manager/treatment co-coordinator. Amber has a very positive attitude and tries to ensure that every patient has a pleasant experience while visiting our office. Outside the office, Amber is interested in meteorology, psychology and arts.

Parbattie graduated from the Canadian Business College. She is a dental professional who works chairside and assists in all restorative, surgical, endodontic, and orthodontic procedures. She ensures that all aspects of your dental treatment meet the highest standard of infection control. She is trained in digital radiography and is HARP certified. Parbattie is friendly and makes your visit to the dental office a comfortable and pleasant experience.

Elda is a Registerd Dental Hygienist from Oxford College and a graduate from University of Toronto with a degree in Biology and Health Studies. She has always wanted to be in the dental field and loves to take care of the patients and their smiles. She believes that preventative dental care and maintenance is important not only to dental health but to overall health as well. Her goal is to provide patients with the highest quality of care in the safest, most comfortable manner possible. Daniella is a Registered Dental Hygienist who graduated with honours from George Brown College. She also holds a Bachelor of Science Honours degree from the University of Toronto. She is enthusiastic about practicing a client-centered approach to dental care that emphasizes the prevention of oral disease. She provides a warm and kind approach to oral hygiene and enjoys spending time with all patients. Daniella is always ready and willing to answer questions about dental procedures and educate clients on all phases of treatment and preventative care. She encourages patients to be proactive in their preventative care, by involving them in the decision-making process to help each client achieve optimum oral health.
